This up & down warm weather and the seed catalogs got you thinking about growing food and wanting to start now?!

Two upcoming chances to get busy and learn with the pros...

The Whole Plate hosts their next 'In the Field' (indoor) Farm Tour
This Saturday, February 12th
10am - 12:30pm
Tour our area's only commercial hydroponic growing operation, C&S Hydro Huts, a valuable player in keeping our food local year-round!
Their delicious greens can be found at farmers' markets, local grocery stores and the tables of various local restaurants.
Taste some greens, and check out their processes and how concerned they are with food quality and safety!
Each participant gets lettuce to bring home!

Slow Food Spokane River will also be holding its 5th Annual Urban Chicken Coop Tour in late May or early June.
We're headed to the North Side this time. If you live in the Garland / NW Blvd area, and have a coop at your place you'd be willing to show folks for a limited visit, please let us know. It's great fun and we've had so many people start coops after attending these tours!
