Hello Slow Food Folks!

What a successful potluck brunch last Sunday!  Thanks again to Taste Cafe for hosting and to all of you who attended for the delicious bites and conversation. Don't forget to check into a CSA this 2011 growing season.

An update about an upcoming food film on 2/9 at EWU in Cheney forwarded below.

This and other local, sustainable food events - from tours, to films, to farmers' markets, to trainings, to events and where to find local, sustainable foods - are now available at a regional level on a new web site, The Whole Plate.
Check out the "Dig In!" page on the list to the left of this site.

And, mark your calendars for our next Slow Food event on 2/17/11 in the evening.
Menage Trois showcases pairings of chocolate and wine, and chocolate and coffee, all hosted by Roast House Coffee.
$15 for non-members; $12 for Slow Food members. More information to come.

Don't forget, you can join Slow Food now for the very low rate of $25. A nice way of showing your support for food that is Good, Clean & Fair.

Think Fast, Eat Slow!

Subject: Movie "FRESH"

The EWU Sustainable Food Project, invites you to join them on Wednesday, February 9th for FRESH: the movie. (see attached PDF file for movie trailer and sign up at https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/154002

EWU Sustainable Food Project is working on a campus garden and several other initiatives to increase campus consumption of local foods to 20%.  All proceeds from this movie will go directly to making this happen! Additionally, having people from the community come to watch this movie will show students that this movement has community support. They cannot make this happen without everyone’s help!

Please help the EWU Sustainable Food Project by forwarding this email to your list serves. Thank you.
