A great club needs to learn from a great speaker.
Jennifer Hao, humorous speech champion 2011 for greater bay area, will
come to SF-MET this Wednesday (Feb 15) to deliver a Mandarin Speech
titled "Love stories (爱的故事)".
Would you please invite your friends and coworkers to this great
learning opportunity? Jennifer lives in Cupertino, south bay. A
champion is coming to San Francisco MET!
Last year, while I was visiting clubs to invite people to Mandarin
English Toastmasters, Jennifer was going to different clubs to
practice her speech. I got to watch her speech five times. Same
speech. Watching her bravely trying different body language, vocal
variety, not afraid of being laughed by people, I thought, “I could do
that too.” She's my inspiration. I began to have good body language
and vocal variety in my speeches.
Jennifer is working on her advanced manual. This is her 2nd speech
from Entertainment manual, "resources for entertainment". After this
speech, she'll obtain her Advanced Communicator Bronze.
She found the information from online, melting with her travel
experience and historical knowledge. She prepared this speech for
Valentine's Day.
Speech objective: Draw entertaining material from sources other than
your own experience; adapt your material to suit your topic, your own
personality, and the audience
