Feb 11 will be a magnificent Saturday:
7:30am, meet at 821 Alder Drive, Milpitas (SV-MET meeting place) for carpool
8:20am, enjoy free breakfast served by area governors
8:40am, keynote address - are we inadequate or powerful beyond measure?
9:15 AM: Training Sessions - want to learn how to run a startup or be
a CEO? Take the training for "President"; want to learn about
marketing? take the training for "VP Public Relations"; ... Want to
learn how to arrange tables to create a great environment for a
meeting? Take the training for "Sergeant at Arms". This will be my
third training in two months. I have taken "President", "Treasurer"
training. This time, I'm debating whether to take VP Education or
Sergeant at Arms training. Being an officer will skyrocket your
self-confidence. Never leave a Toastmasters club without taking an
officer role. The training lets you see the upcoming attractions.
11:00 AM: Educational Sessions, you can choose 2 from 12 sessions. I
highly recommend: 1) "how to evaluate a speech"; 2) "Diamond speech
craft - how to organize a speech", presented by 2011 table topics
contest champion Anthony Hogan
12:45 PM: have a sandwich for lunch with fellow SF-MET members.
2pm: go hiking (such as Ford Mason, Golden Gate bridge) after parking
our cars for free at South San Francisco BART:
http://www.bart.gov/guide/parking/index.aspx
4:30pm, dinner
5:30pm, walk to China Town to see New Year Parade:
http://www.chineseparade.com/
8pm: take BART to South San Francisco then carpool home.
You return home educated, exercised, and entertained :)
