SEVA Meeting Minutes, February 10, 2026
President Stephen Johnsen called the meeting to order as 7:05 pm at MASA Seattle Synagogue, 3200 Airport Way S, Seattle, in the Old Ranier Brewery. Thanks to Mark and Rabi Sidney for use of the space.
New or gone for a long time;
Chris, came with a neighbor, had a hybrid, now has an ID4.

Lucas, whose father has attended, they are building a 1970's EV conversion.
Events;
Drive Electric month is coming in April. There will be an event in front of the UW Student Union, no date has been set.
Greenwood Car Show is in June. This is our biggest event of the year.
News;
Tesla is discontinuing the Model X and Model S.
Tesla is now focusing on Humanoid Robots.
Tesla Full Self Driving is no longer available for purchase, rents for $150 per month.
Ford Self Driving and Navigation now goes away after 3 years or 36,000 miles without a subscription.
Tesla "free charging for life" is getting pulled back. Cars with a salvage title have been cut off with no notice. If you have been cut off, there is a class action lawsuit in the works.
Legislation - Nothing for us today, big issue is the budget.
WAZIP, a point-of-sale incentive program will launch in April. The $112 million program supports Class 3 and heavier commercial EV truck and van purchases.
Yakima Trolleys
Thanks to all who have supported the cause, the city council renewed the operating agreement with a 6-1 vote. Trolley tracks on 6th are still at risk.
Next city council meeting is Tuesday February 17.
Ryan's Cybertruck with Full Self Driving V14.2 was great on the trip to/from Yakima.
Stephen shared the experience of an EV road trip that included a rail museum in Ely Nevada and a friend's electrical testing facility that tests devices up to 6,500 amps.
Yu-Chen Chu, a Phd student at University of Washington is doing research on EV Evacuation Preparedness with a focus on fire prone areas in eastern Washington. Someone observed that many folks in the fire prone areas during fire season are visitors and that an evacuation plan should include them.
Election and Annual Financial Report
The 37 attendees constituted a quorum.
Charlie Tsai presented the annual financial report. Our balance is up, thanks in part, to a $1,000 donation from Steven at the Johansen Family Foundation.
An election was held for two board positions. Grace Reamer was elected to the board as Secretary and Paul Kahle was elected Vice President, replacing Rob Mathewson, both for two year terms.
