Hi Michael,
I think you may have asked me a question regarding the existance of the email adress
servasinternationalexco2012-2015@googlegroups.com, even tough I couldn't find the email now that I searched for it.
Any, even if you havn't asked you I would like to explain why this email adress exists.
The current SI Exco is constantly trying to improve our system of communications internally (with each other in the group) and externally (with external parts).
We still don't have a good system for communication. The current is too fragmented and not integrated enough.
Let me give you the background:
SI Exco has the email adress
ex...@servas.org thanks to the efforts of SI ICT I assume.
Servas, Servas Interntional and SI Exco uses other "sub" Google Discussion Groups regarding for example ServasOnline.
I created servasinternationalexco2012...@googlegroups.com connected to a Google Discussion Group) because I want Exco to have a system for email communication, email discussions and decision making that is easy to search and which makes it easy for us to trace certain discussions as well as decisions.
Exco decided to give Facebook even though some of the Exco members were quite reluctant. I created the closed group SI Exco Konsilio, se below. I has not been successful enough to be maintained as a tool. The closed group SI Exco Konsilio is still existing, but it has not been used by Exco since April 2013.

It was at this point I created the group "Servas International Exco 2012-2015" and attached the email adress
servasinternationalexco2012-2015@googlegroups.com.
Now you know the background.
I'd be happy to hear if you have suggestions for a better system.
I'm not totally happy about the arrangement we have today.
Why?
1. The email based discussions within Exco get mixed with all my other (and I think I can speak for the rest of Exco) emails. It's sometimes confusing and frustrating.
Yes, it's easier to find the email threads when we enter the Google group "Servas International Exco 2012-2015", but it's still not very easy.
2. Our Exco discussions that leads to email based decisions are often difficult to find, to follow up and therefore sometimes loose momentum and die with ,
All the best,
Jonny
