A lot of link directories lost their PR.
 
Link directories are losing credibility....

Google has reduced drastically the number of backlinks shown at the
Toolbar.
I suppose you need now more quality backlinks.

It is impossible to tell why your website PR dropped unless you are doing an obvious (very) mistake (probably unknowingly).

However, here are the possible reasons:

a.Keyword stuffing
b.Too many adsense ads
c. Linking to bad neighborhood
d. Selling links on your site (aggressively?)
e. Hidden text
f. Content copying
g. Google bot unable to read your text - site
h. Spam

No sufficient reason it has why dropped?
But u cud increase ur site PR by bringing enough traffic for ur site.
U cud do it by web directory submission & article directory
submission.
