Hi,

I have a quick question and I do apologize if it has been answered or touched on before - I am an amateur and appreciate any help you suggest or provide.

When I search for my friend's site that I created, I can can find it when using the actual domain (http://www.braininjurypei.info) or when searching the meta description. However, when I search for it using the actual title of Brain Injury Association of PEI, it does not appear at all.

Any thoughts and suggestions would be most appreciated!

Cheers,
Andrew

A quick look shows that you are spamming google using "Brain Injury Association of PEI," some 15 time in the code but only once on the page.
You DO NOT need to use your primary kw phrase more than twice in the non visible code. Once in the title and once in the keywords.
It would also help if you used the phrase near the top of the page and in a H1 tag. *Should be the largest text on the page.

Contact me on Skype (vre-crash) for more info.

Hi Andrew,

What's the site made in? Wordpress?
It's not optimised and meta descriptions are not for seo.
Also, use incognito search or private browsing, otherwise google brings searches based on your previous searches.
And unrealistic for people search g similar.

What is the site for?

Lots more content needed.

Social media?

Stuart, Andrew,
While your reply is kind, it is also incorrect. This is a simple lack of html text issue. Google reads the text on a page, not images. The organizations name was not in html text, and in no other area of the home page is the name of the organization repeated at all. For all Google knows it could be called the "chicken factory". In time Google will figure out it's name and it will start to show up in the searches, but this takes much longer. Google needs many people to repeatedly go to this site after trying to find the site and ending up there eventually after they are given the url from the owner that is promoting the site to them.

Its a simple issue my friend. Something I learned in 2001 and have seen hundreds of times in this group.

Best,

Andrew,
After you change the name to html text ask Google to crawl your website, Here is the link  https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/6065812?hl=en. Because your site is new or low performing , it is often the case they may not crawl it so often, especially since you just obtained the URL on the last day of April this year. Google saves the energy and in general, dose not crawl new sites to often. Big sites might get crawled every two hours and sites like yours that are so fresh, perhaps only once a month. I am going to rebroadcast your url next to your name in this group. This action will also strongly alert Google.

http://www.braininjurypei.info Brain Injury Association of Prince Edward Island.

I hope to see that Html text soon!

I just want to say a quick thank you to everyone who has answered my call for help. You are all kind in offering your insight and expertise - I am in no way an SEO or Google expert. I have a lot to learn still.

A quick look shows that you are spamming google using "Brain Injury Association of PEI," some 15 time in the code but only once on the page.
You DO NOT need to use your primary kw phrase more than twice in the non visible code. Once in the title and once in the keywords.

That's good to know. I will dig up the page and see what I can change to make the H1 tag stronger along with not spamming Google 15 times. These are all occurring using the YOAST SEO plugin for Wordpress.

What's the site made in? Wordpress?
It's not optimised and meta descriptions are not for seo.

The site was made in Wordpress, so I assumed that it was fairly good to begin with but obviously I am wrong. I've tried the incognito mode, but it still didn't work. You comment about the more content is needed makes total sense and I will begin work on curating more information. The group is a little slow on the social medial fixes as they are dealing with a sticky situation.

The website is for a not-for-profit group that is to help people with traumatic brain injuries in PEI, Canada. So I put this together quickly for them.

While your reply is kind, it is also incorrect. This is a simple lack of html text issue. Google reads the text on a page, not images. The organizations name was not in html text, and in no other area of the home page is the name of the organization repeated at all. For all Google knows it could be called the "chicken factory". Thank you Jay for responding to myself, and everyone here. So I can, and hopefully will, add more text to this site, but if I understand your statement correctly, in a little while (a few months) and more backlinks through Facebook and news paper articles, it should start to place a little higher when using the actual name of Brain Injury Association of PEI

After you change the name to html text ask Google to crawl your website,

What do you mean by change the name to html text. Is that merely adding the name to a header tag within the website?

Andrew,

No header tags my friend, all you need to do is make your name in text so Google can read it. Now it is an image. See below.

You can keep the head as an image, however the words "Brain Injury Association of Prince Edward Island" needs to be in text.
That's all you need to do. Nothing else and all finished. I promise!

Best,
Jay Bale

The primary factor to change would be to strip the image of the text
out of the logo and replace it with real text in a H1 tag.
Right under that h1 text, write [ in h2 ], a keyword phrase that
describes the h1 tag's keywords.
Also, put the primary phone number somewhere in the header. I would
also use a h2 for the phone.

Remember, h1 is the largest text on the page. H2 the 2nd largest.
Google sees h3 [Which should be the same size as default bold], as the
3rd most important text.
