Hi, all.
I hope that you're all doing as well as possible in this weird time in the world.
Our recent SEL4MA virtual event on SEL and Mental Health Supports for COVID-19 was very successful, with registration filling very quickly, around 400 people (many new to SEL4MA) participating, and very positive response from participants. (If you weren't able to take part, you can
view the recording and chat log to see what it was like.)
People expressed a lot of eagerness to have SEL4MA offer more COVID-19-related virtual events soon on topics like these:
- Support strategies for different age levels (e.g., early childhood, elementary, middle, high, higher ed)
- Role of out-of-school time programs in providing remote support
- Strategies for adults at home on supporting their own children (and themselves)
- SEL provider organization's support for COVID-19 (e.g., what SEL assessment and program providers are offering to support remote efforts)
What do you think would be valuable to offer first?
Might you be interested in working with Jill, Nick, and me in developing one or more of these virtual events?
We have an opportunity to make a big difference for our communities in this difficult time.
Jim
