Hi, all.

We've been getting an increasing number of requests for speaking engagements lately so I've just drafted a speaking engagement request form to help streamline the process a bit.

Please take a look and add your comments/suggested edits.

I have one immediate situation where I'd like to use a first draft version of this form so I'd appreciate feedback in the next few days.

Thanks!

Jim

I made two small changes to keep in mind that not all requests will be from schools, conferences and professional development meetings.  Some may be from a police department, a sports league, a religious organization, etc as SEL starts to get into the outer ring of the CASEL wheel of forming community partnerships.
Thanks
Mitch

I'm writing primarily to call attention to the RFP from the DOE for funding School Climate development, that just got sent out June 10. Its added BELOW because I couldn't find just a link for the mailing from SEL4US. You have probably seen it, but just in case?

Since I was here, I also thought there could maybe be some incarnation of a question on the form as to whether the audience "had any special needs" ( IDK, like sign-language interpretation - arranged by them!, need for smaller groups, or more visual aids ... I dunno ... just a thought).

FYI --

Someone from my BPS "Restorative Justice practices Organizing Committee"  just wrote to me to say that the grant is targeting primarily rural communities. I don't know if that's true. But helpful to know, if it is.

The grant appears to give even higher preference to school districts in "qualified opportunity zones" (i.e., economically distressed communities).
