Hey folks. Anyone who is not going to Black Rock City this year could really do us a plus by starting to think about a Fall fundraiser. We are running about 3K short (a couple of angels have stepped forward, so it's probably a bit less than that right now), and our tireless building crew is going to want to be reimbursed for expenses incurred. When we first realized we would be short, we contacted Deb and offered a scaled back solution. She indicated at that time that we should go ahead with the original plan and that she would be able to cover the shortfall. Now it seems that may not be in the cards. I will be talking with her once we are down there to get a better handle on what we can and/or cannot expect from her, but in the meantime it would be a good idea for us to look into other options.
Camp dues are covering food and most of transport. I'm carrying a lot of transport on my personal credit right now, to allow the BECU bank account to remain available for emergencies along the way.
I'm thinking October or early November would be optimal. Black Rock Equinox is Sept 17 and Deep Play campout is the weekend of Sep 22-25.
