Hello Admin.

We're hoping to have a conversation about filling camp, transportation, tickets, EA passes, who's in camp, who's in build crew, and how to efficiently communicate.  I think this would be a LOT easier to hash out more quickly in person, perhaps with a beer at Jon's or somewhere.  But if the group prefers we can do this via email.

1) Filling camp.  Casey is doing everything he can to fill camp.  Bryce and Jon went to the newbie picnic and have a list of names of people who'd like to camp with Seaweed.  Many of them have tickets.  Who does Casey have for camp?  Can we share?
They are: Jimi Ellison (can EA and stay late but needs ticket), Dan Potter (wants fire shift and EA), Deacon (wants fire shift), Addy, Todd Smith, Aaron, Sofia and Andrew.  Also wanting to camp with Seaweed are Jules Justice (who would like to be fire lead-transferring ticket to her from build crew), Ethan and Bacon (need tickets and could come this year if tickets paid for, but cannot otherwise and are therefore unlikley).  Jonny Cruz also wants to camp with Seaweed and has ticket and will EA and drive a truck.  Jeff Helzer wants to camp and got ticket.   Russ Chapa, of course.  Jon. Bryce.  Tor and his plus 1.. I think but am not sure.

2) Transportation.  We're getting 2 trucks, yes?  Who would we like in them?  Some of us were thinking roll out on Tuesday, arrive Wednesday and have most of the crew there Thursday to start work in earnest on Thursday.  Does that work?  There was talk of a vehicle of another sort carrying more people caravaning.  Is this still a possiblity?  Who would be in that vehicle?  Who's vehicle?

3)  Tickets.  Who has extras?  Who are we looking for tickets for?
Build crew might have one extra.  Does the rest of camp?  Who's on your short list?

4)  EA passes.  Build crew got 12, camp got 20.  How would we like to distribute those?  All 12 of the build's have builders wanting them and we could really use a few more for project and for camp builds.  Does the camp want any EA besides whoever is building the project and hte camp?  How many?  Can they use any of the 20 for more builders too?  We have to stagger arrivals apparently.  How is camp doing so?  Build was doing a few people each day starting Tuesday.

5) What is the best way to efficiently communicate?  Google hangouts, chats, and such are efficient and help make deadlines and are interactive, allowing conversation with a lot of people but not everyone has this set up or can do so at work.  Could it be used with catching people up and doing it on breaks and lunch and after work?  Or could there be face to face meetings briefly here and there?  Could we all come to a build meeting and take a sec there?  Texting?  Some kinda conference call online?  We need more responsive and interactive ways to talk.  Emails are slow and clunky and not interactive.  Face to face meetings are hard to do often bc of scheduling.  Could we use facebook group chat instead?  yahoo group chat?  handouts?  What would work?  Can I walk anyone through installing or using google hangouts?

6) Transport info?  I don't really even know the questions.

Okay.. so that starts the conversation.

Let's do this in person. Tomorrow? Friday? Late afternoon/early evening?

If we can't manage in person, we should use google hangouts

So, shot the idea past Jon and Bryce, who are also really wanting to do this.

I'm proposing we meet at the build site after the build, say at 3:30pm?  Everyone could see the chapel so far and it's a very easy to get to and park at location.  115 S. Spokane Street.   You can park right under the bridge.

What say you admins?  How many of you can make this?  I think it could be pretty painless and quick if we come with a good agenda.  Perhaps Casey or Bryce could send the other one their part of the agenda so we can zip through some business?

Please respond.

I can't do this Sunday; not a big deal, as the discussion is mostly camp/on-playa issues. I do want to see the finance projections and get an update on our confidence of getting the build done before the 22nd; I can get that over email.

Casey is filling camp. communicating by email with campers and getting names down on a list. i saw the trello thing. i'll look at that later. right now everyone is going into this file. i'll expand on it as i go along.

2 trucks are lined up with the misfit trucks.

all the village tickets have been claimed unless someone drops out.

the whole village got 20 EA. we currently have 3 unclaimed. they are good for whenever. tor was asking about 2 but i don't know where he's camping.

Email is the best communication method for me. i always have 4 rods in the fire and don't often have the time or patience for a conversation type something.

i'm looking for a logistics lead. it's pretty strait forward though.

hows that for an update of current affairs?
