Hello!

We're terribly sorry for any inconvenience, but we've had to move the
date for the SEUGLS event ahead one week to Oct. 24th. It's still at
Microsoft Headquarters in Alpharetta, GA.

We've also started up official registration at http://seugls2009.eventbrite.com/,
so if you've already listed yourself on our wiki, please sign up at
the URL above, or if you haven't, please do so and add yourself to
http://seugls2009.pbworks.com/User-Groups-Attending.

Thanks and again, our apologies for the changes.

No problem at all for me. Looking forward to the meetup. I'm the
founder/organizer for Refresh Augusta (in Augusta, GA) and very
interested in learning from other groups in the Southeast. Registered
on EventBrite tonight. If I can be of assistance in any way, let me
know.

Hi everyone

What O'Reilly books should we bring to giveaway on the 24th?
I'm open to suggestions and specific titles.

When I get some more time, I'll look for and suggest some specific
titles, although I know which ones I want. :) Maybe a good range of
technologies represented by the attendee groups like .NET, PHP,
Linux/admin stuff, etc. as well as some that are more generally
development or project management related like the "Beautiful" series.

Thanks so much!

Marsee,

Thanks for bringing the books. I got an iPhone back in July and love it
(hate AT&T, though). So when I saw the iPhone book that covers the 3GS and
the 3.1 OS, I picked it up. Figured I'd learn some things I hadn't learned
already, even though the iPhone is so easy to use. I was right. I
(re)learned about the mute switch on the side. I had gone into Settings and
Sounds and turned them off there during the SEUGLS when all I had to do was
use that external switch. Hadn't really had an occasion to use it, yet, so
I guess that's my excuse for forgetting about it. So I felt kind of dumb
for forgetting about that, but I'm sure the book will teach me some truly
new tricks (or at least I hope it will).
