Salsa Lounge is this Sunday (May 4th) - please try to make it along and make the night another success.
We voted at the last one and again there was a resounding request for another Cha Cha Cha workshop this month. This will again be suitable for all levels with basic timing, some simple funky footwork and some more partner work - it'll also give you the basics for dancing Salsa On2.
Its also time some of the new beginners got out and put their learning into practise - its the best way to improve and see what its about. More info can be found in the link above.
If you have any wishes or ideas for the class in future months please let us know and we'll see if it can be done.
19:00- 20:00 Cha Cha Cha workshop for all level (£5 including entry to club)
20:00-23:00 Social Dancing for all levels (minimum contribution £3)
18:45 - 19:45 - On1 Improvers 1
18:45 - 20:15 - On1 Improvers 2
20:15 - 21:15 - On2 Improvers/Intermediate
21:15 - 22:15 - On1 Intermediate/Advanced
22:15 - 23:00 - Social dancing
There will be no difference in level initially for the Improvers 1 and 2 - Improvers 2 will simply be an optional extra 30 mins to allow partipants more dance practise, and perhaps to play with variation on the techniques taught during the previous hour. N.B. There is no problem doing only Improvers 1.
The On2 Improvers/Intermediate will provide an opportunity for all levels to learn On2 (New York mambo) timing. For the first week or two the level will be improvers mainly to allow everyone to get the On2 timing. Thereafter we will spilt the class into Improvers for 30 mins then Intermediate for 30 mins. We hope then there will be the opportunity for most folk to do the usual 90 minute class they are used to. Some will want to attend for two hours hence the extra price level below. This is a TEMPORARY schedule while we recruit beginners so MAKE the MOST of it.
Price of each class £5/£4 concession per hour
£7/£6 concession per 1½ hours
£8.50/£7 concession per 2 hours
