LILY's Cuban Salsa Classes, Mondays, 6.30-9pm, at The City Cafe Bar, 19 Blair Street, Edinburgh, £6

Lily starts her Monday Cuban Casino and Rueda style classes with a free salsa class intro at 6:30p till 7pm. Then:

Beginners: 7pm-8pm     Intermediate: 8-9pm

Lily has been dancing for 15 years and was fully trained at the National Arts School (ENA) in Cuba in all areas of dance from Ballet to Contemporary and Cuban styles like Rumba; Cha Cha Cha, Mambo, Son, Afro Cuban, Salsa, acrobatic, drama, music appreciation and Latin-American dances. She graduated with honours.  As a professional dancer Lily joined the Cuban Ballet Television company and performed regularly in musicals, music video clips, cabaret shows, live on Cuban television and in theatres including world tours with the company.  Lily is great example for those girls who want to obtain an elegant style of dancing, sensual and with a very good dance technique. Ladies, it is rare to have such an inspiring top class female Cuban teacher resident here. She speaks good English too! She hopes Mondays develop so that one of Edinburgh's Cuban men teachers will be able to join her.
