Welcome to the diverse and vivacious dance that is the CHA CHA CHA. There are many styles and flavours of cha and we we be exploring a mix during this workshop. We will be doing individual shines as well as couple work AND I am going to throw the gauntlet down "YOU ARE NOT THE BEST SALSA DANCER YOU COULD BE UNTIL YOU HAVE LEARNT TO DANCE THE CHA!!"
6.30pm - 8pm Salsa Triples - 1 guy 2 girls
All levels welcome - no need to bring partners, just turn up on the day.
What is SALSA TRIPLES? Guys, ever wanted to learn how to dance with two women at once? This is the class for you. Where-ever you go in the world, one thing remains constant: there are more women dancing than men. Learning how to control, create and flow with two ladies at once will teach you how to become a much better dancer with your one-on-one and will get you more points and loads of attention on the dance floor. HOWEVER, this class is actually for the ladies. When you are watching one man and two women dancing, it looks like its all about the man... Actually, its all about the women!! Each lady has to learn how to blend her style with the other (otherwise the man's brain will overheat) and the ladies are not just dancing with the man but with each other. This makes for a great following exercise and a much more dynamic dance with more possibilities and moves than you might imagine. This workshop will cater for beginners and advanced dancers, and students will be able to use the material covered here to dance triples in Cha Cha Cha, Son, on2 and Bachata.
Price:
£8 for one workshop and entrance to club 8 - midnight (club normally £5)
£12 for both workshops and entrance to club 8 - midnight (club normally £5).
Note next Merlin dance night is Sunday 10th May, apologies a venue booking problem means no Salsa Friday on April 24th.
