"Between Noise and Transmission" is the high quality debut of Seattle
based formation SD6. It is a 23DB release, Tom "Assemblage23" Shears
label, and this shows or better you can hear it.
One hour of electro-pop with an edge, clear sounds, good vocals and
nicely implemented tempo changes. SD6 is stacking the influences out of
different electronic corners and transform these into a well balanced
production.
Typical future-pop sounds, somewhat harsher electro samples, breakbeat
and Drum & Bass intermezzos are blending together in harmony.
The one thing it lacks is that one killer track. Although "fallen",
"believe" and "everywhere" have dancefloor potential, "the world
divide" makes you think of an electronic version of the mission and
"free" is a top epic track which goes up, down, back and forth.
