The South Carolina National Novel Writing Month Review & Revise Group
is open to all styles and genres of writing: literary fiction, genre
fiction, poetry, children's writing, essays, newspaper articles,
scripts, you name it. Members do not need to be published writers,
Nanowrimos, or even from South Carolina (though that is the home of
our group), you only need to be serious about writing, seeking
improvement, and willing to give some time in return.
Because some of the posted material may be controversial or adult in
nature, all members must be 18 years or older.
Members participate by submitting their works and critiquing other
members' works.
There are equal participation requirements for each critiquing. If you
critic your work is then critiqued in a bartering system type manor.
Writers choose what works they want to exchange. Exchanged works must
be equal page lengths. Who knows? You may write more just so that
you can critic more!
The way this will work:
Please have or make a Gmail account (this is a requirement for
participation, sorry if this causes any inconveniences to those that
do not already have this). Join our group.
To join the group go to:

click the link:
Join this group
on the right hand side of the page. If you are not already logged
into your Gmail account it will ask you to do so at this time.
Now you can start posting! It’s that easy.
When you are ready to read and have your work read post to the Read My
Work and I’ll Read Yours discussion board. State the who you are and
how many pages you would like to exchange. When someone (or many
someones respond set up and equal exchange on Google Docs). You can
upload files and share access with either a group or an individual,
assigning edit only access to the files for comments and changes as
they read your work. Make sure that you’re not giving them access to
your only copy. You want to hold on to an original in case you don’t
like some or all of the changes they might suggest. Responses can be
in the revised document or sent as a private email. Please do not
post critics to the boards.
