Dear all,

there are still 5 seats available for the Physalia online course: Using R as a GIS: Mapping and Spatial Operations in R

Dates: 6–10 October; Online (live interactive sessions + hands-on practice)

Course website: https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/gis-in-r/

This course introduces the use of R as a powerful GIS tool for reproducible mapping and spatial analysis of environmental and biodiversity data. Participants will learn how to:

  • Understand the basics of GIS, mapping, and projections

  • Import, manage, and visualize spatial data in R

  • Perform spatial operations and analyses

  • Produce, export, and share reproducible maps

The program combines theory, live demonstrations, and hands-on exercises, with extensive remote support for practicals across time zones. Prior experience with R is recommended, but all scripts will be provided and explained.

Best regards,

Carlo
