The 3D National Topography Model will be discussed, if you use water and elevation data this is important to understand.

How our federal government collects 3D data and how your agency can help fund it is what Cynthia and her equivalent USGS staff for other states have done for years.  The National Map is a wonderful source of basic mapping data, some of it so detailed that people smarter than me have found it a little too much info...

Subject: [nm...@nmgic.com] USGS Webinar- August 6, 2025

Hello All,

On August 6th at 1:00 PM ET, USGS will host an informational webinar to provide an overview of the Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26)3D National Topography Model (3DNTM) Data Collaboration Announcement (DCA) for the 3D Elevation Program (3DEP) and the 3D Hydrography Program (3DHP).  The 3DNTM is an initiative that updates, improves, and integrates USGS elevation and hydrography data to support the most demanding scientific requirements and enable data-driven decisions across user communities.  The DCA provides a mechanism for partnering with the USGS and other Federal Agencies to acquire high-quality 3D Elevation or 3D Hydrography data to provide the Nation with high-resolution topographic products to support a broad array of applications.

Information on the 3DNTM DCA and how to join the webinar can be found at: https://www.usgs.gov/3DNTM/DCA

Feel free to reach out to me with any questions!

Thanks,

Cynthia Ritmiller
