Hi all,
Thank you for attending our January 28th Management and Monitoring Coordination Meeting last week. For those of you who were unable to attend, or who would like to review the meeting recording, please see the link below.
Recording:
* Please see the following message from Tritia Matsuda, USGS (tmat...@usgs.gov):
Due to limitations on funding for 2026 arroyo toad monitoring in San Diego County, USGS is reaching out to land managers for any assistance they can provide in conducting arroyo toad surveys on their properties. If land managers have staff available, either
conducting surveys themselves or joining USGS as a secondary observer would be helpful. This would also be a good opportunity for training personnel if needed, so folks can become familiar with the survey protocol and tadpole species identifications in the
field. It would also be great for USGS to get feedback on the protocol.
We understand that this is short notice for land managers for the 2026 season and understand if land managers are unable to assist in 2026 surveys. However, USGS would also like to gage interest of land managers to do on-site training for arroyo toad surveys
at their sites and get feedback for the protocol in spring 2027.
Thanks for your consideration.
Thank you,
Sarah and the SDMMP Team
