Good morning!

I occasionally scan job postings and try to share opportunities I find with others - most recently sending local positions directly to students in the department whose research I'm familiar with. However, I figured each of you may have broader networks with folks looking for employment, who may benefit from a few leads I just stumbled across.

Below are links to a few CA State job postings with focus on GIS and data analysis skills in job descriptions (see the attached Duty Statements from each of the posted positions). These are advertised for different locations throughout CA, but I've heard that relocation support and telework arrangements may be negotiable if applicants receive employment offers.

CEMAF Data Scientist (Department of Fish and Wildlife)

Resource Protection Scientist (CAL FIRE)

Research Data Analyst I (CAL FIRE)

Research Data Analyst II (CAL FIRE)

Research Data Specialist I & II (CNRA - Energy Safety)

GIS Analyst (Caltrans)

I noted that many departments list application support resources in the advertised positions. However, this site (https://workforcalifornia.ca.gov/resources) is also a good place to start for anyone interested in the application process for CA State jobs.
