The SDSU Center for Regional Sustainability has been awarded a US EPA Brownfields Job Training Grant, and our unique program is designed to prepare San Diego residents for careers in the environmental and brownfields industries. We are currently recruiting instructors for courses to be offered through SDSU Global Campus!

One of the courses may be of particular interest to those with expertise in GIS:

Brownfield Data Collection & Analysis
Environmental data interpretation, mapping, and visualization — covering descriptive data analysis, common databases (EnviroStor, GeoTracker, CalEnviroScreen), Excel, AI tools, and basic GIS mapping.
