Dear Colleague,

I am pleased to share with you that Taraqee Foundation has been admitted as member of International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in the category of national non-governmental organization, Group 2. The decision was made by the IUCN Council, at its 74^th meeting held in Gland from 2-4 June 2010. Through this event, among 38 organizations around the world that have been admitted by IUCN this year, Taraqee Foundation was the only Organization from Pakistan and the first ever from Balochistan Province to become a member of IUCN.

At this occasion, I would like to share with you that Taraqee Foundation is a Balochistan based NGO that has been working for poverty alleviation and sustainable development since1994. It is now an eminent non-profit organization in Balochistan with enough resources to provide need based service delivery to marginalized communities in thirteen districts of Balochistan.

 

I am confident that by joining IUCN family, Taraqee Foundation will bring more value and quality in its interventions at the grass root level.
