We replaced our flock less than a year ago with black australorps in the hope they would be more quiet than our Wyandottes were, but after 6 years of keeping backyard chickens, we are giving it up.

The hens were pretty loud this morning starting before 6am - and the neighbors are over it.

I live on a small city lot, and can no longer in good conscience keep them here.

If you live on a larger lot, and would like the full setup, let me know.

I'm fine to see just the birds go, but preference goes to someone looking for a complete small setup.

I'm sorry to hear this, Preston. Chickens aren't for everyone.

Have you tried contacting the local schools and 4-H programs? I'm up here in Cambria and I'm sure we could find a home for them, but closer might be easier. Let me know if you'd like me to make contacts on your behalf.
