Well, the good news is I heard back from Denver Parks and Recreation in reference to "The Molkeirei" building in Montclaire Park. The other good news is that there is a discount for 501(c)3 organizations.

The bad news is that the discounted rate is $50.00/hour for a minimum of four hours. I have the contact information, and at some point we might want to do a major event there, but for rituals, too rich for our blood.

We've looked at Pagan Stores with spaces, and they are also too expensive. I think at this point our best options are outdoor rituals throughout the year. Really, in Colorado, we always have better than even odds of having fine weather anyway!

I'm looking forward to hearing back from Kevin in reference to the Unitarian Churches.

Not trying to be flippant.... But I am the proud owner of a rather large OD green army tent. Currently, we're living in it on the farm as we begin building.
The dimensions are 16 feet wide, by 30 feet long. I also have a cold weather liner that goes with it, and it has chimney vents if we wanted heat.
Additionally, we built a "Stage" floor of plywood and 2 by fours to be of the ground.

We could easily fit up to around fifty folks at tables in this thing.

Just a thought for a possible back up option.

On a side note, I also have an old 20 foot? travel trailer that was once my "man cave", until my son put fed in it, and a bear sniffed it out. What I was pondering of the summer, was how nice it would be to have a mobile storage unit- that would double as a restroom on wheels, and even a possible short term food storage/ cooking place.
The thing is rather gutted, but I feel confident in being to restore the thing for the specific purposes needed for our grove functions.

The only drawbacks I see to this, at the moment, is that I don't believe anyone in the grove has a vehicle capable of towing this thing. Along with this, where do we park it between functions?
Unfortunately, I'd be the one having to hall the trailer up to Denver, along with all (or a majority) of the grove items.

If the council sees this as a viable option, or modification thereof, I'd be game in trying this out for a period of time (perhaps select rituals) The only thing I would have to ask for in return is fuel money. The dually will use 30 gallons of gas on a round trip towing a trailer, plus there would be sanitation disposal fees at an RV place. Assuming gas will average $3.50/ gal, that's $105.00, plus sanitation disposal.
Tony found a hall for $50.00/ hr - four hour minimum. That's $200.00, and we're limited on fellowship after ritual.

I have an option of a large tent, facilities and storage that is "Gypsy" mobile, and can be set up at Cheeseman Park all day long. Cost will be around $150.00, realistically.

Its an idea,

Randy
