As of now Silver Branch Golden Horn is officially changing its policy
on acceptable offerings: We now require that all offerings be
biodegradable (yes praise offerings and songs are biodegradable).
Things that cannot be burned or easily buried are also no longer
acceptable.
It is the feeling of the council and the membership that as an earth
loving group that we can no longer accept items that are harmful to
the environment or the being that live in it including (but not
limited to): lead, pewter, Non wood statuary (or other items),
synthetic cloth, electronics, items including mercury (such as “mood”
rings) and other items.
When in doubt ask yourself if I ate this would it kill me or make me
sick (this does not mean that stuff has to taste good because incense
is still okay) if the answer is yes then don’t bring it to ritual as
an offering.
Thanks
Jorja
