What’s Going to Happen to St. Anthony’s?
As this newsletter goes to print we have no concrete answer to that question. However, we continue to have very dedicated people working on this — and when we have something concrete, we will inform you! Forty persons gathered July 10-11 and testified to deep blessings of healing and connection with God and others received at St. Anthony's. Avenues for dialogue with Provincial leadership opened up at a meeting July 16. On July 29 the marketing council will outline steps to propose a plan in a month’s time. Supporters gather again August 7-8. Stay posted at groups.google.com/d/forum/sarcenter (or click the link from the Center website: http://www.sarcenter.com/) and keep the prayers coming!
===============
On May 23, during a retreat day, several catechetical leaders who were key organizers of the Year of Faith "Open the Windows" series in the Wausau Deanery, scheduled three two-day sessions to pray and work for a new chapter in the History of St. Anthony Retreat Center.
Fr. Dan Crosby announced the effort in an extra note inserted in the Center Newsletter mailed/emailed in late May:
We want to add this note to the Newsletter to inform you of a very recent development–which we hope is the result of the Holy Spirit’s stirring (it’s Pentecost time!)
This past week some friends of St. Anthony’s met at the Center. Realizing that our Capuchin community cannot continue this ministry, how might we envision and create a new “chapter” for St. Anthony’s, building on what has gone before? This group is very committed to a summer of seriously praying for and working on this –and invites other interested people (like you!) to join them.
They have scheduled three prayer and work sessions at St. Anthony’s: July 10-11; August 7-8; September 6-7. They will also devise ways to collect wisdom and support online [such as this new Google group.]
Call (715-443-2236) or email (in...@sarcenter.com) the Center for more information how you can participate in the three prayer and work sessions either in person at St. Anthony’s or online [or find answers and respond to questions in this new Google group.] We need the prayers of all and the talents of many.

This Google Group was set up for two-way communication about the prayer and work sessions. Find instructions how to sign up to participate in the process in person, and come back often to this web site to read and contribute your ideas.
