"Pilot entry is now open for the 2026 Flatter Than The Flatlands to be held
over the Easter long weekend at Birchip.
We also encourage team drivers to complete the entry form so that we have
everyone's contact & emergency details.
Competition dates are 03/04/2026 - 06/04/2026, but we invite teams / pilots
who are able to come a day or 2 early for some free flying practice.
Registration will be at the Birchip hotel from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday 2nd
of April.
Get some mates together, dust-off you towing kit and come join in the fun
flying amongst the mellow Autumn thermals.
This could be your last great opportunity to get some quality XC flying in
before Winter.
Some of you guys may have already completed the entry form. You can see
our current pilot list
HERE.
There is a link to the entry form on the
pilot list.
There are some minor changes to the entry form this year in two of
the drop-down lists.
- Wing & Division: Select your glider model, and the division
you would like to compete in.
ie: if you are flying a Litespeed you can only
compete in Open class. A-grade pilots should select Open A
: if you are flying a Gecko you have the
option of competing in Sport/Kingpost (recommended) or Open (competing in
Topless class)
: if you are flying a Fun you have the option
of competing in Floater , Floater V (recommended) or Sport/Kingpost
(competing in Sport class)
Drivers can select 'I'm the team driver"
here.
- Join Team: Select your team from a list of existing
names.
If creating a new team then
leave to 'Join team' field empty and use the 'new team name'
field.
We have already ordered T-shirts based on sizes chosen last year.
T-shirts will be allocated in order of entry & payment.
Late entrants may not get the size selected!

We will be using the official SAFA waiver at this competition. You can
download a copy
HERE for your perusal.
We will have these on hand for everyone to complete at the
registration.
If you have already signed one at Corryong this year you wont need to do it
again.
Cheers from the committee
