Al Jazeera English

Read this on the huffington post today... apparently Daily Show did a long piece on Al Jazeera English last night (complete with the witty pun, "How many people are watching Al Jazeera in America? Al Ja-Zero!") and the blogger's opinion was it was the best commercial the network could have done. Dont know if i agree...but watch it and see if you think it is a witty mock-u-segment or a subtle plug for the middleastern new network's foray into the west.

Actually Jeremy Dubois and myself saw this sketch when it was on the other night...and we all agreed it was one of the best Daily Show segments we had seen in a while.  And I personally think it was a fantastic endorsement of the network, showed they had a sense of humor and actually reported the news without all the ridiculous tactics most networks used.  That's all.
