Vernon, I didn't realize this was Halloween; this may create some schedule
conflicts. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Santana Racers,
First off let me say how happy I was to see alot of you at the Equinox
Regatta, it was a blast having four boats there and we had some pretty
intense racing. We had Fayest, Tomorrow, The Dirty Glass, and Amazing Grace
there.Fayest was in another league for most of the regatta and took the
trophy home but there was some intense racing between Tomorrow (john
Barnett) and The Dirty Glass (my self), I think one of us passed the other
at least once in all four of the races
But this email is about the rest of the season, I am new to the fleet but it
seems like there are some stirrings of a possible surge in the activity in
the fleet, with several new owners that want to race and some boats becoming
more active. There are two CSSA regattas left, the Indian Summer at OCBC in
OKC, and the Hiram Douglas at Thunderbird. We need to make a good showing at
both of these so if you can figure it out you should do what you can to make
it!
While at Tsalagi this weekend Brit, John, and I discussed a possible
Santana 20 holiday get together the night before the Hiram Douglas regatta.
It is at my home club and I can get us use of the club house for the night
so we can get together and just talk Santanas and have a good time. Also I
was hoping we can discuss next season and what regattas we all might be able
to make it to.
The Hiram regatta is on Sunday Nov 1, so the night before would be Saturday
Oct 31 (Halloween). Like I said we can use the club and we can find some
places for anyone that isn't getting a motel or wanting to camp to sleep. I
can put up a boat's worth of people at my place and I know some other club
members can also.
What I want to hear is whether or not there is interest in this, what time
Saturday night people would want to get together, and what sleeping
arrangements people would like. So get back to me and lets discuss what
everyone wants to do. We have a great group of people and if we can find a
way to get organized and show people how much fun the boat is and the group
of people we could really build some interest.
