Are you looking to do something meaningful this Memorial Day? Do you have a few hours to spare early Monday morning? Why not join us in placing flowers/roses at the Arlington West Memorial at Santa Monica Pier in honor of the fallen American military personnel who served and are serving currently in Iraq and Afghanistan.
There are approximately 2,500 crosses (for more info - go to www.arlingtonwestsantamonica.org). I know it's short notice but instead of having a "kick-back" day Let us show our troop our appreciation for their service to our great country. Here is what I sugggest we do:As we drive around our neighborhood and see a house with roses/flowers let's ask for flower donations. Download a pic of the Arlington West Memorial to
show the
resident of our purpose. Be sure to carry a bucket to place the flowers in. If we scatter ourselves all over our communities we should be able to accomplish our mission.
I have informed the project director of our intend and he gave me his blessings. He suggested that anytime after 6am on the 31st we can begin toK place them. Let's do it. Spread the word, the good word, get involve lets not take nothing for granted. Make it a "Feeling U Day" OOH-RAH!
