"El Barrio Hanover Street" is a smaller venue formerly Tequila Joes this will be open from 3pm-3am Mondays to Thursdays, offering food, drinks and music. Classes include:
Tuesday, 6-7pm Beginners / 7-8pm Improvers with Matute
Wednesday, 6-7pm Beginners / 7-8pm Improvers with Matute
Thursday, 8-9pm Beginners / 9-10pm Improvers with Yamil, £5 per class
"El Barrio Rose Street" continues with great double-room party nights on Fridays and Saturdays until 3am, plus free salsa class at 9pm, and DJ Nano playing salsa merengue and bachata in the second room.

ALEJANDRO: Cumbia Workshop, Sun 17th May, 4-7pm, Portobello, £9
Harriet writes: "Cumbia is a beautiful Columbian folk dance which complements Salsa, Son and other Latin American dances. You can incorporate the steps into your Salsa routine or learn it for its own sake. 90 minute class followed by a further hour or so to practise your steps with help from Alejandro. You may have seen Alejandro lighting up dance floors around Edinburgh recently with his smile, his Salsa and his Son, so now's the chance to share in his passion for dance and benefit from his teaching expertise. The class is suitable for beginners. No partner required.
It's in Beach Lane Social Club, Beach Lane, Portobello (EH15 1HL) so why not combine it with a Sunday afternoon stroll along the prom? Beach Lane Social Club is behind Portobello Police Station.
