to R/qtl announcements
A new version of R/qtl (1.11-12) has been released at its web site
(http://www.rqtl.org).

See http://www.rqtl.org/STATUS.txt for a list of changes. There was
just one major change (see below).

Another important announcement: Saunak Sen and I have just completed a
book, "A guide to QTL mapping with R/qtl", which will be published by
Springer and will appear in early August. See http://www.rqtl.org/book
for further details (including the table of contents and a sample
chapter).

------

Version 1.11, 3/29/2009:

Major changes:

Revised effectplot so that one may refer to "pseudomarkers" by their
chromosome and position with a construction like "5@32.8", rather
than having to first call find.pseudomarker to get the name. Also,
in the actual plot, we use the form "5@32.8" rather than, for
example, "c5.loc47".
