Hi all,

I am a complete novice to R. I have used Axivity AX3 accelerometers to physical activity and sleep data in preschool-aged children as part of my PhD research. However, I am struggling to run GGIR and was hoping somebody could trouble shoot my problem? I have installed GGIR package, told it where to find the data, and where to store the outputs. However, when it gets to Part 3, I receive an error message. I have attached it to this email.

Any ideas on how to solve this and just receive some basic wear time and total PA info would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Best wishes,

Oliver

Can you run part 1 and 2 only (mode = 2, do.report = 2) and assess file quality in terms of:
  • Recording duration as expected?
  • Sensor worn sufficiently?

If there are files with (hardly) no data then maybe move them out of your data folder as it could be that they confuse GGIR...

If that works, can you process the files with do.parallel = FALSE to better understand at which file the code gets stuck?
