1. Tim Kaiser and Mother Daughter Crime Team
Wednesday, June 22, 8:00 PM ~ 21+, ~ No Cover ~
Lizard's Liquid Lounge, 3058 W Irving Park Road (map)

Tim Kaiser will be performing tracks from his recent first vinyl album, 'Numbers Station' which features the sounds of his home made musical devices juxtaposed against a background of shortwave "numbers station" recordings.

Opening for Mr. Kaiser will be the world premier of Mother Daughter Crime Team, featuring the experimental MIDI/Frankenstein devices of Unatronics Michael Una, and Welcome Tomerica's Tomer Gal. Though the show is free, donations and merchandise purchases are strongly encouraged.

2. New Roth Mobot Technology Series
We will be conducting a series of workshops in the Museum of Science and Industry's Fab Lab.
Inspired by a recent visit to the museum and the consistency of one of the museum's workshops (sheep's eyeball dissection) we struck upon how to simplify circuit bending workshops with the use of a common, eminently hackable circuit used as a text book example. Just think of it -- no surface mounted components, no crystal clocks, no unanticipated IC encapsulated components -- to name a few of the many benefits of this ambitious approach.

3. You Asked For It, You Got it!
Chicago's Experimental Sound Studio has enlisted Patrick McCarthy — one half of the circuit-bent duo Roth Mobot, to teach a series of five affordable workshops over the course of the summer. Whether you want to drop in once to learn how to construct a contact microphone, or if you’d rather immerse yourself in a comprehensive curriculum of soldering and hardware hacking, we invite you to tailor your experience by enrolling in any combination of these classes.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Patrick McCarthy
