I recived the following information just this morning via the [HAITI
PRP] Digest for hait...@googlegroups.com blog, regarding a HEALTH
CLUSTER IR&D WORKGROUP Meeting being held today on Proshetics at 2pm
at St. Germain Rehabilitation Hospital.

Hopefully, someone from District 7020 is already aware of this and is
able to attend, if it is felt to be necessary as indicated in the post
below.

With my sincerest regards in Rotary,

Subject: FW: Prosthetics and March 3 IR&D working group meeting
Date: Tue, 2 Mar 2010 05:57:57 -0500

Dear All,
A short note to remind you of the Wednesday, March 3, working group
meeting for Injury, Rehabilitation and Disability (IR&D). The time and
place remain the same – 2pm at St. Germain Rehabilitation hospital –
just next to St. Damien’s Hospital --- near the US Embassy.

The focus of the meeting will be PROSTHETIC SERVICES IN HAITI.

For those organizations working in this sector, or planning to work in
this sector, you are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting.

Please come prepared with summary information outlining:
- Start date or proposed start date (when activities are operational)
- Planned duration of activities
- Location of service (department, facility)
- Number of staff (Category 1, 2, 3; foreign/national and length of
contract)
- Type of technology used (socket, joints, cosmesis, foot)
- Production capacity at present and planned capacity
- Additional services offered (PT, etc)
- Government agreement?

If you are unable to attend the meeting, it would be greatly
appreciated if you could send the above information by COB today
(Tuesday).

In order to keep the meeting size manageable, if you are not directly
involved / do not plan to be involved in fabrication or delivery of
artificial limbs, it is recommended to skip this meeting and wait for
the minutes…. Promised for Thursday March 4. J

Thank you and warm regards,
Sue
