Czech Republic in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009
The Czech Republic will compete at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009, to be held in Moscow, Russia, on 12-16 May 2009.
Gipsy.cz, who had previously taken part both the 2007 and 2008 Czech national finals, was chosen by Česká televize (ČT) to represent the country in Moscow.
"Aven Romale" (Come in Gypsies), is a song by the Czech group Gipsy.cz that will be the Czech entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009.

One of the greatest talents that have appeared in the Czech Republic during last decades makes impression of a revelation. The Gipsy rapper Radoslav „Gipsy“ Banga has joined an elite of Gypsy team–mates led by the violonist Vojta Lavička, and – with nonchalance and elegance of legendary Gipsy bandmasters – mixes an explosive medley of rap, Gipsy music, funky etna, and pop, which – apart of a necessary portion of healthy agressivity – is not lacking in humour, a detached point of view, and irony.
In addition to the influence of American hiphopers, he surely has met impulses during his wanderings and ramblings in Prague, left for him there by Jaroslav Hašek or Franz Kafka through the mediation of Prague genius loci. His talent has attracted the attention of the legendary Serbian bandmaster Boban Marković. During their short common tour in Prague as well as in Germany last year, there appeared a completely original creative liaison which stunned namely the audience in Dresden and in Berlin.
