Although there were a few mess-ups, both
with the XL and AOL feeds, it definitely was a great concert to see. I'm
certain that all these problems will be fixed before the DVD comes out. With XL,
Keef was just beginning to sing "This Place Is Empty" when XL
temporarily lost the feed, and we ended up getting a re-run of Midnight
Rambler, which was the song played prior to the band intros and then
Keef's two solos. Also, both XL and AOL chopped up and lost a part of Rambler.
There were no hidden gems for the die-hard fans, but the energy from the crowd,
the energy from "our boys" and feeling like we were on the beach with
the other (damn near) 2 million, but we had front row tickets more than made up
for
AOL didn't lose the feed, but
started the show after the Stones already took the stage with their opening
song, JJF. AOL will be repeating the show for the rest of this week, if not
longer. http://music.aol.com/network_live/concert_videos/rolling_stones/live ?And
unless I was so exhausted after watching/listening to the show for almost 48
hours already, it seems like AOLsomewhat fixed the beginning
of the show and only a couple of minutes now seem to be missing from them taking
the stage leading into JJF.
The concert will be shown in various
movie theaters around the country on February 28th, for one night only. Tickets
can be bought on-line for $12.50 before the night of the show, or at movie
theater box offices on the 28th for $15.00.
Enjoy, whether you watch the feed, see
it in a theater on the 28th, and/or buy the DVD. Maybe these Rolling Stones guys
might actually make a name for themselves someday! They definitely have the potential to become
the "greatest rock 'n roll
band on the planet." IMHO, of course!
