First, I am not sure who told you that, but we are working through the legal process to log a state area.
First step: Forestry review Done
Second step: Forestry Plan Done
Third step: Environmental Review Done
Fourth step: Public hearing April 15, 6-7
Fifth step: Bid specs for timber sale April 30 est.
Sixth step: Award timber contract May 15 est.
Seventh step: Logging Approx. 30 days weather dependent
Eighth step: Spray invasive species Ongoing
Opening goal July 1
To say nothing has happened is not correct. This project is proceeding as planned.
Send me your name and contact information as we need volunteers for the club following the logging for clean-up days. I am sure the club would appreciate the help of riders like yourself.

i received a email saying there was allready equipment there at river valley to remove trees and all but i just drove by there and just like i thought there is nothing done my opinon is that this a very poor management of thse trails and its not fair to riders that cant go far to ride there is my only place and now its a joke in no progress very very frusterating to me and im sure alot of others so be honest what is the time frame we are looking at?????
This is Billy Chapman, I have participated in clean up days in the past. I am excited to see the park after being logged and able to use it again. I have a few saws including sthils biggest saw they make and would like to participate in post logging clean up. Just let me know. We appreciate all the work that has went into this thus far!
