Hi All,
This is just a reminder of the very special services Ridgebury Congregational Church is conducting this Memorial Day, Sunday, May 25, 2008.
- 10:00 am: Sunday morning worship service followed by our Hospitality Hour
- 4:00 pm: Remembrance Service at the Meetinghouse.
Our Congressman, Christopher Shays will attend. He is "now in his eleventh term in the 110th Congress (and) serves on the Government Reform, Financial Services, and Homeland Security (committees)
". (

actors of the CT 5th Regiment, and a bagpiper. The church service is followed by a brief walk to the Ridgebury Cemetery at which Rev Heeckt will dedicate a memorial wreath to Ridgefield's unknown veterans, particularly those who died on the British prison ships during the Revolution. The Marine Color Guard will offer a salute.
- 5:15 pm: Light refreshments will be available at Shields Hall
Please join us and welcome Congressman Shays, the Marines, 5th CT Regiment, and the Bagpiper as we honor the men and women who have served this country.
This Memorial Day plans to be very special. Thanks in advance for your support.
