Reverse Space – Build, Create, Collaborate. “Ultra Large 3D printing”

5-30-2013 6PM to 11PM Open. All are welcome!

This week at Reverse Space we will be talking about and working on ultra large 3D printed designs and projects. Since our makerspace has a huge selections of 3D printers, what would take the average person a month to 3D print would only take our space less than a week to print. Soon with more 3D printers going online, we will soon be able to do a month of 3D printing in several days. We will also have samples of translucent honeycomb 3D printed walls on display. These could be used for large enclosures like an entire computer case with LED's for lighting.

Below is a link to a 3D interactive wall made using five 3D printers running 24/7 for three months. If you have an idea of a super large 3D printed design, bring it to our space and we will see what we can do and if we can fund the production of it. Included in this post is a picture of the 3D printed wall from the Polish company Platige Image made jointly with Bridge called BIOSTAGOG.

If you have any projects you are working on, feel free to bring it to Reverse Space! We have locked storage space, hundred of tools and electronics, and the largest sections of free to use 3D printers for any Makerspace (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hackerspace) on the east coast of the US. At this time membership is free.

Other projects we are working on below. Help is always needed.

3D - “Rostock Delta Arm 3D printer” Almost ready!

3D - “Ultimaker 3D printer” - Works great! Come by and use it!

3D - “PrintRbot LC” - This 3D printer needs to be calibrated and test prints done.

3D - “RepRap” - This also needs to be calibrated and test prints done.

CNC - “ShapeOko CNC” Converting this to a huge CNC.

3D - “B9Creator” Getting a working print and settings with our DLP light 3D printer.
