Well to me respiratory therapy is fascinating in its specific specialty
yet its complexity. I am a student in the program at SAIT in Calgary,
Alberta, Canada. Here it is a very complex and rough ride through 3
years. For the first 2 we are specifically in class and the last year
we're doing full-time practicum. So, back to why respiratory therapy is
so interesting and fascinating... Well there is a lot of anatomy
involved (obviously) but more physics as applied to equipment used.
Dissecting the mechanical functions of ventilators and such. The
exploration right down to the last alveoli and its functional
components. Pressure gradients used in every day ignorance of life. Its
just so intense when you actually sit back and look at the little
picture.... but thats just me and my perspective and my fascination.
This group thing is here so we can learn from eachother. Let me know
what fascinates you about it.
