I wrote to may Senators and Congressman about putting the retire pay at 55 instead of 60.  My reasoning is that most of us in that twilight zone, would spend that money.  I thought that was what the new President wanted, go out and spend.

Citibank alone received 40 billion in the bailout and they have the guts to tell us a 55 retirement is too costly. What was the original estimate on a 55 retirement? I believe 7 billion.

Original estimate was 7 billion, over 10 years or 700 million a year

I have e-mailed and faxed my congressman and senators, with no response.  They apparently don't want to have any thing to do with us.
