RC Reduced Retirement Eligibility Age....

Guys,

 

As memory serves, several years ago the Congress looked at this issue, using stats proved by the DoD.

 

ROA (I believe) pointed out that the matrix provided by DoD to Congress was bogus (it showed an O-5 retiring at 24 years and an E-7 retiring at 20 years, both of which had somehow acquired 365 points a year in every year they were in the Reserves-as if they were active duty, not RC). Congress agreed with DoD that it was too expensive to made the Age reduction-based upon the bogus figures.

 

Does that ring a bell?  I will be in D.C. next month and will have an "audience" with my Congressman.  I want to provide him with the bogus info that was provided, then give him some better figures..

Good luck, I had a face -to-face with my congressman and senitor 2 weeks ago. An they will just lie to your face. They will tell you what you want to hear and do just the opuenant. Mine told me that they would vote for a bill to fix theconcurrent reciept issue the last week I got a letter from one of the said the bill was to costlly and that he could not vote for it. We all need to get together and vote them all out of office.

Small Business Lending Fund Act of 2010 - Vote Passed (241-182, 9 Not Voting)

The House passed this bill that would establish a $30 billion lending fund administered by the Treasury Department to invest in financial institutions, like community banks, with the intention of expanding the availability of credit to small businesses. The bill now goes to the Senate.
