Position #1:
Post-doctoral Training Fellowship, full time non-tenure-track at the University of Georgia, Center for Vaccines and Immunology. Position involves research in the areas of immunology, vaccine development, molecular biology, and/or virology to participate in funded projects on influenza vaccine development and vaccine induced immune responses in pre-clinical animal models. Studies focus on both seasonal and emerging and highly pathogenic influenza strains and utilize biosafety level-2 and biosafety level-3 enhanced practices. Fellow position will involve contemporary and emerging technologies in influenza immunology and vaccine design and analysis in the new state-of-the-art laboratories. Studies will use expertise in flow cytometry, antibody assays, B and T cell immunology, tissue culture techniques, and microneutralization assays. Capacity for independent work and ability to interact productively with colleagues and lead a small team of researchers are important. This position will require successful completion of Department of Justice security clearance for work with Select Agents and Toxins, as required by Federal regulation.

Fellow position will involve contemporary and emerging technologies in influenza immunology and vaccine design and analysis in the new state-of-the-art laboratories. Studies will use expertise in flow cytometry, antibody assays, B and T cell immunology, tissue culture techniques, microneutralization assays, as well as working with blood and tissue samples from human subjects. Capacity for independent work and ability to interact productively with colleagues are important. This position will require successful completion of Department of Justice security clearance for work with Select Agents and Toxins, as required by Federal regulation.
