Hello all, my name is Sunil Anandatheertha, a budding vainika and a guitarist doing a lot of experimental music and research on carnatic classical music. Please see this experiment and kindly leave your comments, so that I can improve on my methods and techniques.

The following takes you to the experiment wherein the audio-video depicts the emotions of a man lost deep in the woods and also within himself. Thanks in advance for watching and your valuable comments.

Good one!

I liked it because its free form improvisation. Usually when a carnatic musician improvises, he/she falls back to one of the known structures like swara-kalpana, tanam, or Alapana. Though this song is made up of many tanam style playing, I think it's indeed free improv upto some degree.

Interesting images in the video.

Cheers,
Ananth
