Subject: Re: FW: Press Statement -- Lt. Governor John Garamendi's Statement on Potential Community College Fee Hikes and the Impact on Job Retraining

Hi everybody!

Does anyone know when the actual vote to cut the CCC budget by 10% and the increase in fee hikes is going to take place? There is a huge consortium of students in the L.A. area who are planning a bustrip up to Sacramento for a rally. We are pretty organized, with 17 buses, 200 picket signs and over 800 students all ready to go, but do not know yet if the vote has already happened or if it will happen too soon for us to get up there. Will it be too late to make any kind of impact since we do not yet know when this "potential vote" is scheduled to take place?

Can someone fill me in? Thanks
