Join us for the Austin Adobe Users Group Meeting, January 9, 2009.

Last month, Cornelius Chopin's presentation, PhotoShop Just in Time for The Holidays, left participants begging for more.  People didn't want to leave.  Cornelius has graciously agreed to do a followup presentation.  

He will quickly review some of the key concepts that he presented last month and then show some additional Photoshop Classic Effects that are used for many business/personal projects.

Because Cornelius has so much to show us, the business part of the meeting will begin at 12:45.  We need to discuss the need for someone(s) to manage our Peachpit and O'Reilly accounts.  Through Peachpit and O'Reilly we will have the opportunity to review books and software and receive a discounts on purchases.  Our account manager(s) will need a physical address where UPS can deliver products.  S/he will also need time to find reviewers, keep track of who took what product, when the review/presentation is due and to help members receive the group discount on purchases.  

We will also discuss the official Adobe User Groups website, our new blog, setting up a Refreshment Chairperson or Committee, and how long a person can go without attending a meeting and still be a member.  These are important considerations and I encourage you to attend if at all possible.

Not interested in PhotoShop or volunteering for a lot of work?  Come anyway!  You never know when you are going to hear that tiny piece of information that will pull it all together for you.  Our interesting and talented members are friendly and helpful. You might hear a discussion of that very thing that has you strumped.  Where else can you get a free presentation, learn lots of free tips and meet some great folks?  Join us January 9.

Parking is on the street in front of the DSHS building (old Department of Vital Statistics).  There is additional parking in the parking garage behind the Brown-Heatly Building. Leave yourself time to park, walk to the south door of CCRC and find the room.  If you park on the south side of the CCRC building, be sure to park in a spot designated as "Visitor Parking."  They tow!
