ArchivesSpace external metadata standards principles

The Metadata Standards subteam of the ArchivesSpace Technical Advisory Council has adopted a set of principles to guide decisions around the adoption and maintenance of external metadata standards, models, and guidelines in the ArchivesSpace application. (ArchivesSpace is an open source application and community, and our development, including adoption of metadata standards, is guided by our members.)

These principles are intended as a flexible framework for evaluating a wide range of standards and supporting a spectrum of adoption approaches within ArchivesSpace; I thought they might be of interest to the RiC community.
